Mas du Novi
The classification, grape varieties and terrain
The wines of the Mas reflect its arid scrubland swept by the strong winds of the Tramontane and the sea spray, in a fusion of generosity and freshness. We constantly seek to express the power and the richness of the soil and produce great drinkability. To fully appreciate our wines you must take time, as advocated.
Since the 11th century Mas du Novi has been producing wine on one of the most beautiful wine estates of the Languedoc, on the last hillside of the Cévennes range before the Mediterranean, at an altitude of 150 metres. Today the estate comprises 42 hectares of organic vineyards and is set in 60 hectares of woods and scrub land of the Languedoc Grès de Montpellier and the IGP Pays D’Oc wine regions.
People behind the organic farming
Wine is a terroir, a land, but it is also the women and men who work to develop the potential that nature has provided. Hassan and Mohamed take care of the vines. The winemaking is led by Thierry, who runs the estate, and Romain, who watches over the cellar. Vanessa manages the orders, the accounting and the administration. And it’s Mireille that welcomes you on your visit, prepares the wine tasting and helps you with your orders.
